A new phase

Renewed identity and adjustments to international standards — the same formula, the same essence.

Orgamin was created by Kazuo Furuta, Yukio Okamura and Toshihiko Ozaki in 1975, in Brazil. Friends and university companions decided to develop a product that could contribute to local agriculture with an excellent cost-benefit ratio. Japanese immigrants in love with Brazil’s climate, they chose to test and register the product on Brazilian soil. That is how Tropical Técnica Agrícola Ltda was born in 1978 — a Brazilian company, founded by Japanese people, with a “Japanese-Brazilian” product. The name united two passions: the tropical climate and agronomy. Tropical is 100% national and continuously contributes to agriculture in an organic way.

After years of research and great results, what was once an idea gave rise to today’s Orgamin: a fertilizer with bioactivating functions that act directly on the leaves, being absorbed and nourishing the crop in a unique way. By MAPA requirement, the product began receiving nutrients that were not part of the original formula so it could be commercialized. In the following decade, the company faced distribution challenges given the high demand from national and international growers — production and logistics had to improve.

As one of the pioneers of foliar fertilization, the product was so successful in Brazil that it quickly reached abroad. Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Argentina, Bolivia and Paraguay began using it on various crops, and adjustments to the European Union standard are underway. Despite all the adaptations, the base remains the same: the original Orgamin is still the base of every product in the family — and that is what keeps it always effective.
